I want you to live as free of complications as possible. When you’re unmarried, you’re free to concentrate on simply pleasing the Master. Marriage involves you in all the nuts and bolts of domestic life and in wanting to please your spouse, leading to so many more demands on your attention. The time and energy that married people spend on caring for and nurturing each other, the unmarried can spend in becoming whole and holy instruments of God. "
St. Paul - on being single in the Kingdom of God
It's time to honor and create a new narrative for singleness in the life of the church. For too long being single has meant that there is something wrong or broken in you or that you are a second class citizen or a perfect fit to serve in the nursery or that you always have plenty of time in your schedule or that you don't struggle with similar losses as married people struggle with. Join us as we seek God and give thanks for the friendships among us that make sleeping alone not only a possibility but even a preference!
