"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 3:1-4

Daniel 9:1-27

The prayer of confession and repentance in Daniel 9 is an example to us all of how we should approach a God of mercy and justice. Even though this prayer is a thing of beauty it is not the main point of the passage. Daniel 9 is one of the most complex prophecies in the entire Bible. However, even though it is nearly impossible to get consensus on its specific meanings we can get a general hope about the work of the Messiah that is also unparalleled anywhere else in scripture. Come anticipating hope as we look and worship the God who has promised to put an end to injustice and an end to sin and darkness.
