"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 3:1-4

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.

You should never jump to conclusions while the story is being told. One thing the baptized, Eucharistic people of God expect is to hear from God. The primary way in which we hear from him is through the written word. When Jesus came he came as the LOGOS this simply means WORD. He, this man, Jesus, is the word in flesh. The entire story of God's love is summed up in Jesus and what he said, what he did, and what he has promised to do in the future. We know him as we know the word. Christians should always be reading and meditating on the Bible. Yet it gets misused, neglected, and even just as a history book. The Bible should be read as one long parable about Jesus and always in a way that asks the question, "So what should I be doing, thinking, living, in light of this." Join us as we remind ourselves why we are a "people of the book."
