"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 3:1-4

Sermon Series: Taboo
Psalm 25:16, "Turn to me and be gracious to me,for I am lonely and afflicted."
As a culture we have never been more connected through social media and technology. However, for all that connectedness we are anything but connected to each other. Our passion for individualism and autonomy has left us pretty empty. We have beautiful homes but no friends to eat with us. We have plenty of time to play games with neighbors, but we choose rather to watch Netflix.  We are screen-addicted and love-starved. The church's solution of gathering together to listen to a lecture often times falls short of our deepest needs. In fact, faith communities often get community screwed up. So do we. Yet, even though it's not perfect it's still a divine reality.
