"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 3:1-4

Proverbs 17:17, 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin,  but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

We are finishing out our Reel to Real series with Hollywood's dark comedy of the year. While the Grand Budapest has many layers to the plot line there is no larger theme than friendship. The characters are broken, honest, and yet they display a loyalty that is uncanny. In our culture and even in our church right now friendship has taken a backseat to romantic love and all of us feel it. We need and even desperately crave friendships but so much of life and other priorities get in the way. This topic of Spiritual Friendship is very dear to my heart and I know you will be renewed and refreshed as Christ, our greatest and dearest friend, calls us to eat with him.
