Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. 15And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.
You cannot follow Christ and not be a generous person. The trouble comes when we define generosity only in financial terms. We all know people who can give tons of money to any cause but are very stingy with their time and physical presence. What does it mean for the people of God to be fully available? Open hands do three things: They let go, they receive, and they give. We want to be a people with open hands. This is what Christ has modeled for us and we are so proud of the church that you are becoming. Join us as we share several stories of how God is using Common Ground to love locally and globally.
